FRIENDS OF DESFORD SURGERY -  PATIENT PARTICIPATION GROUP 

The Friends of Desford Surgery are looking for enthusiastic new members to join them in supporting the Medical Centre. The group meet 4 times a year, and represent the voice of patients, and also attend regular meetings within the wider Clinical commissioning group. Additionally, the group produce a quarterly newsletter for patients, as well as organise fundraising and health awareness events. If you are interested in joining the group, please contact Mrs Anju Maini, at the Surgery. Thank you!

 

Appointments can now be booked on line.  Please contact the Surgery, if you wish to use this facility.  Details will be provided on how to register.

**ONLINE CONSULTATIONS**

From 29th May 2020, the Surgery will be introducing an online consultation service so you don't always need to come into the Practice to get our medical expertise. Why not save time and try our new online service. You can input your symptoms online and will receive a response from the Practice - usually that day, if a request is received within the online consultation daily request times. You will also have access to reliable and trustworthy self-help generic information 24 hours a day, 7 days a week that may help you to avoid an appointment altogether. You can also use the system to request test results, sick notes, referral letters and medical reports.

The Desford Medical Centre is a small practice offering a very personal service.

We aim to offer you a courteous confidential service respecting your rights and needs as an individual.

We are very proud of the service that we provide to our patients, our access figures can be seen by clicking on National Patient Survey on the right. Our Practice policy states that if you feel you need to see a GP today, we will ensure that you are able to discuss your concerns with a clinician on the same day.

With hope that through this website you can find all the information you need at the click of a mouse. You can order repeat prescriptions online, and make and cancel existing appointments online.

There is a wealth of information about medical conditions and diseases in our patient information leaflets as well as all the latest practice news and developments. 

We are always looking to improve our services so please leave some feedback on our contact page. We hope that with your help and co-operation we will be able to make this website a better place for all your online needs.
