IMPORTANT: COVID VACCINE LATEST

Please note that recent NHS letters from mass vaccination sites such a Birmingham are an alternate option to being vaccinated through your GP surgery, NOT instead of. These have been sent out nationally, not by local NHS services such your GP practice or the Leicester Hospitals.

The surgery is working hard to ensure that all patients of 80 years of age and over and care home patients are offered a vaccination within our locality before moving onto other age groups. Each GP surgery will continue to contact patients directly as they become eligible for an appointment.

Please do not call the surgery about this, wait for the surgery to contact you.

You do not have to travel to Birmingham if you do not want to; the mass vaccination centres are designed for patients living within 30-45 minutes of a centre at most so the we would recommend that you are vaccinated closer to home during the pandemic to reduce the risk of catching the virus by using public transport. You should also be aware you have to have both vaccinations at the same venue so the surgery will not be able to offer patients the second vaccination if they have their first elsewhere.

**PLEASE CHECK HERE TO SEE LATEST INFORMATION FOR THE COVID VACCINE BEING OFFERED IN THE SURGERY/ HEATH LANE SURGERY**

W/C 14TH DEC 2020 - 1ST DOSE VACCINATIONS FOR OVER 80'S BEGUN AT HEATH LANE SURGERY
W/C 4TH JAN 2021 -  VACCINATIONS CONTINUE FOR OVER 80'S PATIENTS AT HEATH LANE SURGERY
