Appointments

Routine appointments

AppointmentscalendarTo book an appointment, you will need to call on the day that you require the appointment. Lines open at 8am each day.

A member of our Reception team will answer your call as quickly as possible. We now have a queuing system, where you may have the choice of selecting the ‘call-back’ option, if you would like a staff member to call you back.

When you request a GP appointment, you will be asked details about the nature of your problem. This information is used to ensure that you are booked in with the right person at the right time. As we now have a team of professionals working at the Practice, (GP’s, Pharmacists, Physician Associate, Practice Nurse, Mental Health Practitioner, Social Prescriber etc), you will be signposted and booked with the most appropriate clinician/professional to meet your specific needs.

PharmacyFirst

When you request a GP appointment, you may be referred to a local Pharmacy, under the ‘PharmacyFirst’ Service. Community Pharmacies can now offer treatment for seven common conditions without patients needing to see a GP. Highly trained Pharmacists can now assess and treat patients for earache, impetigo, infected insect bites, shingles, sinusitis, sore throat, urinary tract infections(UTIs) for women aged 16-64 – without the need for a GP appointment or prescription. Some exclusions apply. Reception staff will ask you specific questions to determine suitability for referral, and explain the process to you once a referral has been made.

Nurse / healthcare assistant appointments can be pre-booked via the phone or online (if you have signed up to our online services). We usually only book 6 weeks in advance with our Practice nurse and healthcare assistant.

Urgent Appointments

All appointments are opened on the day, so if you require an urgent appointment – please telephone the Surgery, to request this. It is not appropriate to contact us online for an urgent same day appointment.

Cancelling your Appointment

If you have an appointment and cannot attend or wish to cancel, please let us know as soon as you can either by telephone on 01455 828947, or use our online form below.
Please inform us as soon as possible, so your appointment can be offered to somebody else.

Request an appointment online

You can now use our new online consultation service,  to contact our practice for non-urgent medical or admin requests. You can also use this facility, to order acute/repeat medication via an ‘admin request’ if you are unable to use Systmonline or the NHSApp.

It is very simple to fill out so please do give it a go if you need to contact us.

Although the character count is limited on the form, please try to give as much specific and concise information as possible. You may find this easier than waiting on hold to speak to a receptionist.

If you do not have access to the internet or find it difficult to use a computer or smartphone you can call reception instead.
